255 S State Street

255 South State Street will bring 190 mixed-income apartments, commercial and event spaces, and a food hall to Salt Lake City’s downtown business district. The project scope for the 187,576 square foot structure includes below-grade parking, an eight-story tower, a 14-story tower, and the renovation of an adjacent historic house. While the midrise tower relies on standard construction techniques and materials, the second tower uses an Infinity Structural System built on a three-level concrete podium.

Supply chain challenges showcased Baker’s ability to do whatever it takes to drive the schedule — including jumping right in and installing rebar alongside the supplier. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.
