Efficient. Eliminate Waste.
Our goal is to get the job done right the first time. Beginning with preconstruction and continuing through all phases of a project, Lean principles drive the efficiency of our services. We strive to eliminate re-work and waiting by keeping Baker co-workers focused on well-defined deliverables at a reliable and predictable pace.
Baker commits to living the main Lean principle of delivering value at the highest level possible.
Our co-workers use advanced technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), to create process flows, discover conflicts and provide the means to solve them. Our commitment to Lean allows us to develop more predictable, reliable schedules and offer more time for planning and solving challenges.
BIM Technology: Building on the Edge of Innovation.
Baker utilizes innovative technologies to create valuable work for our clients. Building Information Modeling (BIM) allows our formwork engineers to create and maintain comprehensive databases for the entire life cycle of a building, from preconstruction to project completion. Baker operates on two types of BIM, design and construction, to give co-workers and clients an accurate look at a project’s entire scope.
Our BIM design programs focus primarily on the function, performance and aesthetic of our building contracts. By keeping the exact brand and model of each element generic, Baker gives clients and trades additional logistic flexibility. These programs include Autodesk, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks Simulate & Freedom and IFC interface.
Baker’s construction BIM programs focus on the means and methods of the actual construction work. Baker strives to incorporate the exact, real-world items used at the construction sites into our designs. These models provide an accurate look of a project site, helping to plan logistics and identify potential issues. We utilize software programs such as Tekla Structures and BIMsight to create and share these models.
