Snowmass Base Village

Snowmass Base Village is a mountain-resort development located just outside Aspen. Baker provided the total-package concrete work for the first phase of development, which included underground levels, foundations, superstructure, rebar, and hoisting. The climate and location presented a unique set of challenges for the project team. The area averaged 300 inches of snow per year, requiring the Baker team to implement special procedures and precautions to safeguard ongoing construction from severe weather. In addition, the resort’s remote location required the team to ship many resources from Denver, a four-hour drive away.
