Project Details

With the ever-growing demand of electricity, it is becoming increasingly important to ensure that it is produced responsibly. American Electric Power's (AEP) enhancement to the Cardinal Power Plant in Southeastern Ohio was the installation of a Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) system. This technology assists in cleaner coal power generation by reducing sulfur dioxide emissions. Baker was contracted to construct all structural concrete elements including pedestals, piers, foundations, walls, paving, and elevated decks.
